Getting tactical about the fit of your new team

One of the most difficult parts of an acquisition is making decisions about the existing team and what needs to do be done going forward. There is often high emotions involved on the part of the seller, existing team members, and you. So, here at DSI we’ve put together an exercise to help take emotion out of the equation in order to take an objective look at the fit of each individual team member.

Some things to consider:

  • How do they embody each of our core values?
  • Do they understand their position and how their success contributes to the overall success of the practice?
  • Is this team member motivated to reach their full potential?
  • Does this team member possess the skill set to produce exceptional results in his/her position?
