459: This Is How We Learn
This episode comes from another segment of our recent case acceptance event at the DSN Scottsdale facility. Alastair and I share a few ques that you can use to identify the learning styles of your patients over time. For example, visual learners often gaze upward when they are pondering something. Visual language such as “can you see that?” or “picture a…” and eye contact are very effective ways to communicate with these patients. Tune in to the episode for some more tactical tips on visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.
During the presentation, Alastair and I discuss:
- How to identify your patient’s learning style
- Ways to use that insight to build report
- Why it doesn’t matter if you get it right straight away
- Keeping a cheat sheet for the team
