710: Effective Leader or Micromanager?
Live from a recent keynote presentation
A lot of the things we talk about at DSI could easily be misconstrued as micromanagement. The piece that makes all of this work, is a leader that encourages authorship from the team. If the leader in a practice is writing all of the systems and just dropping them on the table- there will be no buy in. On the other hand, if the team writes the operations manual- accountability is automatically built in.
During the presentation, I discuss:
- Authorship as the most effective form of leadership
- The micromanager vs the effective leader
- Why you can’t write your own systems
