Dr. Taher Dhoon, originally from Utah, grew up with a love for the outdoors. He later moved to California, where he earned his BA in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In dental school, a chance seating arrangement led him to meet his future wife, Bridget, who is also a dentist. Together, they have three energetic children—Connor, Claire, and Jonathan—who are the light of his life, along with their golden retriever, West, and rescue Shi-poo, Jordy. As a family, they love exploring Colorado, biking, swimming, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Dhoon has traveled the world to master advanced dental techniques, witnessing the transformative power of surgical procedures in his patients' lives. Co-founder of the Colorado Surgical Institute, a live-patient training center in Northern Colorado, he guides dentists through complex surgeries, helping them build the skills they need to succeed. Passionate about education, Dr. Dhoon teaches dental business principles with the Dental Success Institute, is a faculty member in various programs, and has authored "The Practice Launchpad," a book on dental start-ups and acquisitions. His mission is to inspire and equip other dentists, paying forward the knowledge and skills he's gained throughout his career.
"I grew up in Utah, where I developed a deep love for the outdoors. During my time in dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, a chance seating arrangement led me to meet my future wife, Bridget, who was also studying dentistry. Together, we have three wonderful children—Connor, Claire, and Jonathan—who bring endless joy to our lives, along with our golden retriever, West, and our rescue Shi-poo, Jordy. As a family, we love exploring Colorado’s natural beauty, spending time biking, swimming, gardening, and enjoying moments with friends and extended family. Our shared love for the outdoors and community keeps us grounded and connected."
