About Monica

Dr. Monica Urda is a visionary in dentistry, and she is celebrated for her innovative approach and dedication to transforming patient care. Her journey began at Loyola University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology before pursuing her dream at Marquette School of Dentistry, graduating in 2013. She initially practiced in a high-demand Medicaid clinic on Chicago's Southside but soon aspired to create a distinct practice, leading her to establish a start-up in Bucktown-Wicker Park, one of Chicago's trendiest neighborhoods. Her growth from a modest four-operatory practice to an impressive $3.4 million in collections underscores her strategic acumen and commitment. In February 2024, Dr. Urda expanded her flagship practice to a larger location, marking another milestone in her growth journey. She attributes her success to a consistent focus on exceptional team and patient experiences, which she considers the core driver of her practice's expansion. Drawing on insights and strategies from DSI and Dr. Mark Costes, Dr. Urda has reached new heights, sharing her expertise as a black belt coach. Passionate about refining efficient systems, she actively shares her innovative methods with the DSI community. Dr. Urda views her practice as an incubator for fresh ideas, constantly exploring and applying powerful business strategies, and is excited to share these refined techniques with fellow DSI members.

"When I’m not busy with drills and fillings at the dental office, you’ll likely find me exploring every corner of the city. I’m always inspired by the endless variety of experiences and places waiting to be discovered. And if I’m not out exploring, I’m probably at the gym, working (perhaps a bit ambitiously) on engaging my core. One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been the people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in this incredible community. I’m deeply grateful for the friendships and connections that make this place truly feel like home."
